Why We Did This.

As current students, we empathize with the challenges and uncertainties of starting at a new school and learning its systems. On top of that, there’s the need to master the digital technology required to access these systems and the software needed to fulfill assignment expectations. Therefore, we embarked on a Problem-Based Learning Object (PBLO) project to design a hub that would assist anyone at Ontario Tech quickly learning how to use all the tools and resources used in the courses. Our goal was to create a platform that simplifies navigation on Canvas and any other necessary tools in a way conducive to their learning needs.

Meet the Team

Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.

The Collaboration Hub is designed for students at Ontario Tech by Ontario Tech students.

Collaboration and Connection

Engage in active collaboration with your fellow students on the various tools and resources that you have previously utilized in your academic journey. This collaborative approach encourages a culture of shared learning and knowledge exchange. By offering mutual support on the usage of these tools and resources, you are not only enhancing your own learning experience but also contributing to the collective learning of the group.

Access

Are you uncertain about how to use a tool or which tool is best suited for your needs? The Collaboration Hub is here to guide you in the way that best suits your learning style. If you can’t find the information you need, don’t hesitate to reach out to others and contribute the information for the benefit of everyone.

Ability to Create

Over time, it’s understood that these tools may become obsolete or superior alternatives may emerge. This provides you, the student, with the opportunity to update existing information, make your own additions, or even create new content. This process not only allows you to expand your portfolio but also boosts your confidence in your learning journey.
