Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 1.

Go to a web browser, type in: learn.ontariotechu.ca

Step 2.

On the login page, locate the boxes titled: Student Banner/ID and Password.

Your student Banner/ID was provided to you in an email from the Registrar’s Office. If you cannot locate this information, please get in touch with the IT Service Desk at (905) 721-3333 and press 1 for assistance.

Step 3.

Logging in will direct you to the Dashboard, where you will choose the course you want to view. You may select directly from the page or by clicking the courses tab on the left-side menu.

Click on the chosen course.

Step 4.

This next step will bring you to the Home page of your course. This page will look different for each course based on the Instructor and the needs of the course.

The left-side menu provides you with multiple next steps. You can choose where you would like to go.

Adding the Immersive Reader Option in Canvas

Step 1.

Click on Account at the top left of the Canvas Page.

Step 2.

Click on Settings.

Step 3.

Go to the bottom of the page click on the “x” and “enable” to allow for the immersive reader option.
